Hiring Process
We have two types of positions: Interviewed and Pool.
Interviewed Positions:
- Applicants must submit a completed application online by the posted deadline date.
- Please include any supporting documentation, such as a resume outlining how you meet the position requirements, along with your application.
- Applicants are screened by a committee to determine who will move on to interviews.
- After the interview, a final selection is made from the top two ranked candidates using Oneida and Indian Preference.
Pool Positions:
- Are “ongoing recruitment,” which means we continually assess applicants and place qualified candidates as positions become available.
- Most pool applicants are not required to interview prior to hiring.
- We will contact you by phone or email so be sure you keep us updated with your current contact information.
Oneida and Indian Preference in Hiring:
The Oneida Casino is owned and operated by the Oneida Nation. It exists to provide economic strength and provide support and community services. Support and community examples include police, housing, utilities, health care, parks and recreation, and the school system. Therefore we use Oneida and Indian preference in hiring.
